Welcome! My name is Meghan, and I started this blog to document my adventures while training for the Nike Women’s Half Marathon. I am running with Team in Training, and I’m facing an ambitious $4200 fundraising goal. Please head over to my Team in Training page to hear more about that mission, and please make a donation here if you can.
I am currently an undergraduate student who loves all things related to food, fitness, and wellness. I think overall healthy food is my greatest passion. I enjoy baking and cooking, as well as developing new, creative, healthy recipes and modifying traditional recipes to make them a little bit better for us. I’m committed to learning as much as I can about nutrition, so I expect to be sharing some of that with you. I love to write (particularly about health, big surprise there) and enjoy finding new ideas online as well as doing research.
Thanks so much for visiting, and I hope you enjoy my foray into long distance training. The farthest I have ever run prior to any of this training is 3 miles, so it will definitely be a challenge but I’m excited! I cannot wait to learn about serious distance training and to increase my knowledge about the best way to fuel my body for this type of work. And I promise to share it all with you! Won’t you join me?
